The Department of Maxillofacial and Dental Surgery focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases and conditions of the oral cavity and related structures. It includes both cosmetic dentistry and medical dentistry. The department contains trained orthodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists (specialisation of gum disorders), prosthodontists (specialisation of oral prostheses).
